STEPS4GROWTH (S4G) is a Clean Energy Workforce Development Program, funded by the U.S Economic Development Administration’s (EDA) Good Jobs Challenge project. Whether it’s working with electric vehicles, enhancing renewable energy sources, securing our electrical grid or ensuring energy efficiency in our homes and businesses, North Carolina needs a developed workforce to ensure our clean energy needs are met.
Led by North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, this program is a hub that brings together industry, education, and people to provide the skills and training needed to ensure a sustainable workforce in a fast-growing new sector that is critical to the health of our state and the nation. STEPS4GROWTH will enable building a clean energy workforce pipeline by creating pipelines, pathways, ladders and lattices into family-sustaining wage, clean energy jobs in North Carolina.
